Stacie U. Rose is an Atlanta-based Artist whose latest body of work, Physical Invisible, employs painting, printmaking, and collage to explore forces that shape experience, yet remain unseen. Wind, electromagnetic waves, light, emotion, and the passage of time often define the sensations of a particular place or moment. “These nonvisible components of our world penetrate our perception, mold our memories, and—here—become Art,” says Stacie.
Her new mixed-media works draw on both place and sensation, combining landscape and architectural references with spontaneous gestures. Forms that seem pulled from the ether through paint and tools enter the visible world, embodying the unfolding narrative of the creative process itself. As Stacie observes, “They have become that which they were not.”

Atlanta-based artist, Stacie U. Rose uses painting, printmaking and collage techniques to construct works exploring the relationships between objects, forms, color, nature and structure. Her abstractions are informed by the interconnection between organized systems of nature and the human built environment. Using gestural marks combined with geometric lines and repeatable patterns, she explores a visual and visceral edge, where opposing forces strike balance. Stacie has shown work at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, The Zuckerman Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia, Lamar Dodd School of Art, and Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art. Her work is included in corporate and private collections around the country. Projects include large scale paintings in CODA Tech Square, MARTA Arts Center Station, and State Farm Arena. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in 1990 and has lived in Atlanta since 2008.
